Canon Launches New EOS 5D Mark II 21.1-Megapixel DSLR/G10 High-End Rangefinder/SX10 Ultra-Zoom/Digital ELPHs
Canon has introduced the long-awaited EOS 5D Mark II DSLR. It can capture HD video as well as video and stills simultaneously. The shutter is rated for 150,000 snaps making it one extremely reliable camera. Canon also has an accessory Wi-Fi option, too. Plus, the very popular G10 replaces the G9. It has 14.7 megapixels built-in and is said to process Raw files faster than ever. If you're in the market for an Ultra-Zoom digital camera there's the SX10 with the equivalent of a 28-560 lens! For the consumer the two new Digital Elphs were announced with resolutions of a high of 14.7 to 10 megapixels.

Casio Speeds Up / Ikonoskop Does Video and Stills/Leica Transition Troubles/iPhone Photo Apps
Casio U.S. has introduced the new High Speed Exilim EX-FH20 which can scream at up to 1000 fps in video mode or 40 fps in stills. Pansonic Announces First Micro Four Thirds DSLR and Lenses
Making sure that the industry understands that Panasonic is serious about Micro Four Thirds they have introduced the 12.1-megapixel Lumix DMC-G1 SLR. Features include a Live MOS sensor, AF Tracking, Face Detection and HDMI Output. The camera comes not only in a black body but also in fancy red or blue and will be available in mid-November squarely putting it on the charts for the consumer holiday season.
